Large-Scale, Palace/Heritage & Beach/Resort Weddings

What to Expect

Introduction

Large-scale and destination-style weddings — 300+ guests, palace and heritage venues, beach and resort settings — each come with their own planning considerations. Here's what to check for, whichever format you're considering.

Large-scale weddings (300+ guests)

Ask any planner for a specific, verifiable past guest count — not a general capability claim. Scale logistics (multiple vendors, staggered timelines, larger venues) require real prior experience at that size.

Palace and heritage venues

Ask specifically about permits, conservation restrictions, and vendor access particular to heritage properties — these venues often have constraints a standard hotel or hall doesn't.

Beach and resort weddings

Ask about weather contingency planning, sound/permit restrictions common at beach locations, and guest transport logistics for resort properties outside a city center.

What to ask any planner, regardless of format

  • Can you show me a real past event at this scale or venue type?
  • What's your contingency plan if the venue or weather changes?
  • Who handles logistics on the day, and how many people are on your team?
