What to check before you shortlist anyone
Choosing a partner for a MICE event, conference, or corporate activation involves different questions than choosing a wedding planner. Here's what to check before you shortlist anyone.
Ask how many people will be on-site for your event, and what the largest delegate count they've handled is. Corporate events often run on tighter timelines than weddings — ask specifically about turnaround.
If your event involves government stakeholders or public-sector protocol, ask directly about that specific experience — it's a distinct skill set from private corporate events.
Oh Yes Events states government-sector engagement experience on its own site. (Self-reported — ask for specifics relevant to your event.)
Ask about existing relationships with venues and AV/production vendors in your city — established relationships often mean faster turnaround and better rates.
For corporate events especially, ask what kind of post-event reporting (attendance, engagement, ROI metrics) the partner provides — not every planner offers this.
